If there’s one thing I’m sure of, it’s the contents of this thread:
Instead of just bitching about it, I’m proposing a new way to invest your money instead of lighting it on fire next summer.
Go to a camp that does this:
If your player spent all summer playing these games and learning about the concepts listed, he would be a much better hockey player than if he had gone through cones and over Power Edge Pro toys all summer.
Can’t find this camp?
Nobody is doing it.
There’s your edge.
I have 20 kids between the ages of 15-18 that I skate with 3 days a week in Dallas.
They can’t play one-touch hockey, but they can toe-drag slowly around anything you put on the ice.
The influencers are influencing them in the wrong ways. They do skills training with these IG gurus that litter the ice with toys.
Stop ruining the game.
Start teaching the game.
The only expertise these gurus have is being an expert at making your kid worse at hockey.
Vote with your dollars.
Don’t watch their videos.
Don’t train with them.
It’ll stop when they stop making money.
