I went to listen to some live speakers teach on constructive, life-giving, high-energy principles on a Sunday. Others would call this church.
This church didn’t feel like the church I grew up on.
It felt like a masterclass on leadership and relationships.
One message really stuck out… Catholic church would never live stream on YouTube also so I could go back and retrieve this message:

If you don’t want to click the video clip, the quote is as follows…
You can only move people who are moving towards you
What I didn’t know when I was coaching the junior team was that the players weren’t moving towards me. The messages, the teaching, and the energy did not resonate.
There was a significant gap between my calibration and the collective calibration of the players.
This gap creates a bunch of perpetual ‘problems’.
Those problems when it’s your first time seeing them, are overwhelming.
They cause a lot of pain and suffering when you don’t know what you just learned this Sunday, 4 years too late for the former version of yours truly.
The revelation often comes later and, for me, it was meant to come eventually so I could share this piece with you today.
She goes on to say:
Some relationships are harmful and you need to walk away
After 2 years of a ‘harmful’ relationship with 2 separate but similar groups of players, I knew I needed to walk away from that energy field.
They weren’t my people.
And that’s okay.
Thinking they were and battling against them to ‘change’ is where YOUR misery starts.
And it doesn’t end until you either walk away or know the lesson I’m sharing with you now on the front end of leading a group of people.
Not every group wants to move in your direction.
Know it, and don’t do what I did and resist it.
I only resisted due to ignorance of this lesson.
I hope it serves you well now and in the future.
